Here we are in the New Shop and we are doing very well. Thanks to some luck Baltimore Bimmer has been able to expand into a large shop. Here we rent bays so you can do your own work or you can have our mechanics perform the work for you. Baltimore-Bimmer and U Fix It Service Center have teamed up and now have the only automotive shop in Maryland that we know about where you can bring your own parts and your own tools and fix your car yourself, have help from a mechanic or keep your hands clean and leave it all to the mechanic. It’s your choice. You see what work needs to be done and you have the option of doing it yourself or at least being there while your car is worked on.
If you are experienced you can just come in and rent a lift. After signing a release waiver, you are pretty much free to fix whatever you like. If need be, there is ton of heavy duty equiptment for you to do those big jobs. An A/C recovery Machine, engine lift and stand, transmission jack, Factory GT-1 for the BMW enthusiest. Everything you could possibly need to do the big jobs if you have the ability. Come down to the shop for a tour or call and set up an appointment. We’re right off of Beltway exit 34 on Kenwood avenue.

I have one story to tell. I went to school with a guy who worked at a BMW dealer. Apparently a co-worker of his made a costly mistake…I think he was trying to fix an air bag light. He was doing some probing and touched the wrong wire which immediately deployed all front and rear air bags on a late model 7 series! (Hence, I know what you mean about the cars being designed to, as it were, self destruct when tampered with.) I believe my classmate told me the damage was in the thousands to buy new air bags… I wonder if the customer ever knew…
I read your blog and feel like it was a continuation of our conversation in person today. I stopped by Baltimore Bimmer today and discussed the “you fix it” franchise opportunity… I am actually thinking about that still and probably will be for a while. If I meet any BMW owners who are having trouble with “the ultimate driving machine” I will send them your way. See ya around!
My 2006 would not start, I was in a panic. My brother had given me this number a few months ago and stated he met aw guy who work on BMW’s. I put the number on my refrigerator. Who would have known that I would need this number in an emergency. I called Josh and as soon as I got in touch with him he came right away. It just so happen that we lived in the same neighbor. He went to his shop and picked up a new battery and installed it in my car after midnight. Talking about curbside service. I am so glad that Ikept that number. His sevice was wonderful. He is even going to reset my service lights free of charge. I am grateful to Josh. I believe I have a new mechanic as long as I own my bimmer.
