Week 2 at the new garage.

I have had a wonderful week last week. I met a bunch of new people and have helped more customers last week them I originally projected. It is exciting and I’m enjoying my current freedom of going to work and not having someone dictate how your day is going to go.  Granted, the work is harder, managing customers and time is difficult and can be stressing at times, but in no way is it less rewarding then going all the way downtown through rush hour traffic to get somewhere that feels like a prison cell. Watching  the clock to see if it’s 5 yet. Now I can concentrate on people, relay correct information as to the operation of the vehicle and I know it’s accurate.

Now I have advertised on craigslist and I don’t think I’m getting the responses I’m looking for. I have Google analytics attached to this website so I know how many people have been here, how long they’ve been on the site, what they looked at and based on their IP addresses, I know what region they are from. I have had well over 100 hits last week and only a few new clients. Now I did change back the main page to what it used to be. I wanted to be simple and to the point and put a billboard on the first page but I don’t think that worked too well so I’m putting it back the way it was in the hopes that it will attract more customers so I stay busy. I’m also brainstorming as to some promotional offers to prospective clients. Maybe free oil changes for referrals, a “pick a name out of a hat” idea to perform a job for a customer for free once a month. Purchase necessary of course.  Just some silly ideas.

I am also working on putting up some common prices for some jobs that are common to certain models i.e. Oil filter housing gaskets on E46′s and Valve cover gaskets, Oil changes, control arm bushings, etc… All of these things will be coming shortly. Thank you for reading and remember if you have any questions about your BMW or this site or the contents of this blog please feel free to leave a comment or contact me directly.

Thanks again,

Joshua
